Perhaps you noticed but I took a bit of a blog hiatus last week. There was some not so fun real life stuff at the beginning of the week and then I got quite sick towards the end so I just wasn’t up to it. Today I am back with a new song and a yummy cookie recipe.
I honestly didn’t know what song I was going to pick for this week until a friend of mine posted this one on my Facebook page. Apparently I look a bit like the girl in the video. Anyway, we have Quick by The Magnetic Fields. This group is quite fun and quirky and I was first introduced to them years ago by a blog post of Neil Gaiman’s. This video is super adorable and fun, as is the song, so I hope you enjoy it.

I also wanted to post a recipe that I love to make because it’s fast and crazy delicious. The recipe is for Salted Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I made a batch yesterday for my mom for mother’s day and let me say, they go fast. My mom and I had two each before I even packed them up in a container. They are the perfect salty/sweet combination and they are wonderfully soft and chewy. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you find yourself with half the batch gone by the next day.
